desire as inspiration

When you desire something and become attached to the attainment of what you think you want it can be depleting. And torturous. Yet when you desire and don’t need to attain it can be rejuvenating. Mesmerized ~ a waking dream of summer in the middle of the winter…

Floating
On tidal river
At sunset
In summertime

 Spreadeagle
Spider like
Spiraling
On my back

 Raspberry sky
Pours in my eyes

Reflecting
On the salty sea

 The moment
When the water flowing in
Overcomes
The water flowing out

Holds me
Suspended
Infinite
Shifting

 Tide turns
Silent
And carries me
Home
